Foundation Programme Abroad

A small proportion of Foundation Doctors express a wish to undertake part of their Foundation Training overseas. We recommend that if you think that you may wish to go overseas that you start making enquiries early as arranging placements overseas and getting them approved may time some time.
There are quite strict limits on those who can undertake their F1 year overseas. You are only able to do your F1 overseas if you meet certain criteria and gain prospective approval for your placement. The application form and guidance are available on the London Deanery website .
